"To provide positive, purposeful, and personal recreational experiences for populations with disabilities."

The MCSRA is a community therapeutic recreation organization that serves residents of McDonough County. The MCSRA is structured to provide individuals with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy recreational experiences with the Park District and surrounding areas. Programs provided are for all ages, starting at 4 years old and up. Our programs aim to emphasize recreation, leisure, culture, environment, community integration, and family-centered activities. Our youth programs aim to help teach basic skills that will assist them in being more successful in their day to day life while also instilling a sense of fun and adventure. Our Adult programs are developed to help build a stronger sense of community and support, as well as, working to advance individual's skills for daily life and enhance one's quality of life.
Our Mission:
"To serve individuals with disabilities of all ages and ability levels through recreation/leisure programming that aim to enhance socialization, encourage independence, promote cooperation, build community awareness, and open opportunities for a wide variety of recreational experiences."
Supporting Communities include the Macomb Park District, the City of Macomb, and the Village of Bardolph.
